Social media is an absolute must these days when it comes to promoting a business or brand, ESPECIALLY your LuLaRoe business. The average person has five (FIVE!) social media accounts and spends, collectively, about 3.8 hours browsing those networks every day. If you break that up between each platform (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.) throughout the day, you can have your brand or business popping up several times a day, keeping your LuLaRoe clothing a constant thought on their mind. This can quickly turn to “Oh hey, that’s cute” to “Oh man, I keep seeing these LuLaRoe dresses I NEED to get one!”
So as you are building your LuLaRoe business, we want to help get you to a place where you are a Facebook diva and your Facebook group isn’t just helping your business it’s practically running it for you because today, Facebook is one of the best places to advertise and is KEY to driving more customers to your page to shop.
First off, the best type of Facebook group to have is a “closed group.” A closed group gives you the option of adding people and also lets members add their own friends too, thereby expanding your network. When making a Facebook group, make sure that the name of the group starts with “LuLaRoe” followed by your first and last name. If you also want to have an Instagram account for your LuLaRoe business, you can easily link it to your Facebook group.
Alright my LuLaRoe loves, one great reason for using a Facebook group is its ability to help you connect personally with your clients and customers. One of the joys of social media is not just that it’s about being social and having relationships with people, it is the chance to share and connect on a much more personal, deeper level and when you get to know people deeper, you can better know how to serve them. And we are here to serve. Talk about your “WHY” on your “About” section of your Facebook group, let your customers know WHY you’re doing this, WHY you’re so excited and jazzed about being a Fashion Retailer. If anyone is interested in joining, help them to see how it has changed your life. Your WHY is a big part of your LuLaRoe business plan, so make sure you can easily share it with your customers. Get all the feels out there and really show that you see people as people.
Tips on Promoting
Once you have created your Facebook group you may think you’re good to go, but NOPE! That’s not the case. You have to put the work into your group to really start reaping the benefits. You’ve got to get your Fred Flintstone feet on. Because of this, we have a few tips on how you can promote your Facebook group and really get it to start working for YOU!
Posting consistently is key in order to keep your Customers captivated and engaged. And no duh! because if you don’t post often, customers can sort of forget about you and that’s the last thing you want to have happen! When you are posting at least once a day, your business and products are on your Customers’ minds more, which can lead to more sales and more success. Rather than just posting for sales events, post sneak peeks on your inventory before the sales event even takes place. This can help excite people and get them involved. Also, be aware of your Customer demographic and base; know when the best time to post is. Two in the morning is probably not the best time to post. And be aware of who they are and what they need. Have an outward mindset and really get to know these people that you are serving so you can help them to the fullest.
You might think that since you’re posting you are interacting with your Customers, but that’s just not true! A good Facebook group administrator responds to nearly every comment on their posts or photos. This helps to promote your customer service, which will help people feel like you are loyal and truly care about them. Send thank you notes via Facebook messenger to those who order from you on Facebook. It’s all about making it personal; be a DAY Maker! We all love it when a shop shows a touch of personality, so be personable! Handwritten cards saying thank you can really help your Customers to feel appreciated.
This might be one of the best tips out there. Giveaways are a HUGE incentive to get people onto your page and see what you have to offer. Be smart about targeting the community that already supports you or is within your social circle. But remember that when you are doing this you need to check your EGO at the door. It is going to take some time to really build up a big network and if you don’t have a lot of followers in the first week, that’s ok. But that doesn’t mean you can slack off! Heck no! You need to put your butt on the line and really put in the work and time to get more followers.
When doing a giveaway, a great way to help interact with group members and potential customers is to ask a question with the giveaway. Require them to like the photo, answer a question and tag a friend or two. You can have them answer something like “Which are your favorite LuLaRoe leggings?” This way you can respond to comments and help your community know that you are a real person who wants to share all this joy and yumminess and also help them feel like you are here to help answer any questions. Show. That. You. Aren’t. A. Ro. bot.
From time to time, it can help to use a more expensive item for your giveaway. Though most people will enter a giveaway no matter what, this might incentivize more people as it might be an item they wouldn’t necessarily buy on their own.
Another trick to use for giveaways is to turn it into something fun, like a game! Be creative, make it fun. Create a scavenger hunt or treasure hunt. If you have a large local community, go hide a little surprise somewhere around the neighborhood or near a well-known landmark and then state that whomever finds it first wins the giveaway. This can really help make the business fun and exciting.
Pictures, pictures, pictures. Always include a picture with all of your posts. By adding a photo, you can increase your click-through rate by nearly 42 percent! This means that if you include a photo with a post, you are 42 percent more likely to have people click on your link than if you don’t have a photo. Teach yourself a few basic photography skills like the rule of thirds, using a backdrop when possible, using natural or correct lighting and angles. Be sure to include style, size and price of each item you post a photo of (remember to also only do one item per picture). Some great tools for editing photos are Pic-tap-go, A color story, Visco, Canva, and Planoli.
Along with pictures, we would also say videos, videos, videos! People love to see behind the scenes. They want to see how you do it, why you’re doing it, they want to be involved and know that you’re real! You can show them how you are living LuLaRoe every day and how it’s completely changed your life. So my LuLaRoe loves, you best get used to seeing yourself on camera! You can use videos to do a walkthrough of your day to day; people want to know who you and your family are. Remember that with LuLaRoe, we Know it, Live it, Love it, and the best way to show that is through your interactions with your T.E.A.M. and Customers.
Some other great tips for promoting your Facebook group (and therefore your LuLaRoe Retailer map) is to invite people to join, post on your personal wall every now and then talking about your WHY and invite people to check it out. Take business cards with your link to Pop-Up boutiques so people can easily find you.
You don’t have to always be perfect, in fact, when we share our struggles it makes it just a bit easier for people to connect with us.
